Mindfulness@PAM: Mindfulness in Everyday Life

In collaboration with Mindful USC, the USC Pacific Asia Museum presented a summer-long Mindfulness class series.
Participants joined Mark Miller to learn skills that helped them manage stress and strong emotions when they were experienced. This Zoom class combined evidence-based emotion management skills with mindfulness to help them compassionately take care of themselves when emotions and stress began to feel overwhelming.
- Saturday, July 18th, 2:30-3:00 PM (Session 1): Creating your own mindful emotion management habits using a few basic skills.
- Saturday, August 29th, 2:30-3:00 PM (Session 2): Coming back to a cool calm when emotions got hot.
- Saturday, September 19th, 2:30-3:00 PM (Session 3): Using mindfulness to help discover what emotions were trying to tell them.

Mark Miller, PsyD, was the coordinator of Mindful USC and a clinical psychologist interested in integrating mindfulness and psychotherapy.
